When this sword is used to kill someone or something, the body will automatically raises them as a zombie on the next round and seek to destroy the one responsible for their death, nothing the character does can give them control of the new zombie. If the character again kills the zombie using the sword, then the zombie will be raised again in one round as a zombie of 1 hd less than the previous round. Once this power is revealed, the sword will automatically jump into the players hand before any combat is initiated, and can not be resheated until the combat is over. This sword can not be used to deal non-lethal damage. The character recieves no XP for killing of zombies created by the weapon. The sword can not be removed from the characters possession unitl a remove curse, limited wish, wish or miracle spell is cast.

Nice concept. I like the curse. But when the zombies run out of HD, do they just minimize at 1 or do are they eventually destroyed when they reach 0? Personally, I would suggest having like a decreasing rate, like they rise as ghast, you kill them they come back as gouls, you kill them again they come back as zombies, you kill them a 4th time then they come back as skeletons. Once killed as a skeleton it can't come back. OR have the HD decrease each kill (but always stay zombie) and they just don't come back once they've run out of HD. Actually another idea would be that each time they're destroyed they come back as animated objects like: Animated Head, Animated Arm, Animated Leg etc. Just some possibilities I thought I'd throw out.

The original concept is that they would finally die, when they ran out of HD, I also considered making it even worse, by adding a HD to them everytime they were killed to make it progressively harder and harder to kill, and therefore more of a curse...Characters only gain xp for the zombie after they kill the zombie for the last time, and then they only get xp for them as if they had killed them the first time.

LOL ouch. Keeps them from abusing the curse with "Hey free XP" munchkins. :D
