Have you ever wondered what it would be like to fly without the confining requirements of a LTA, AV, or Jet? Well wonder no longer, the Icarus is here! Using advanced patented lightweight materials and new cutting edge AV thrust systems the Icarus brings you to the sky! The Main engine and fuel tanks are built into the chest with manuever rockets covering the top of each shoulder/upper arm and the waist/upper thigh area. Rotational technology allows the Manuevering jets to move out of the way when needed and the armoring includes heat resistant material to keep you from melting yourself! The Icarus can carry a payload of 50 Kg with it as it flies but passengers are not recommended becuase of the need for the intakes on the chest, shoulders, and waist to be clear for flight (indeed they are powerful enough to clear themselves most of the time). With a top speed of 100 Mph and a loiter time of 2 hours or more you can show up those petty corporate times in their AV-4, Machs, and Swans. If self-defense becomes an issue you can call upon the powers of Zeus himself with an upgraded Techtronica 009 built into the left arm! To protect you from Zeus's wrath the Icarus is fully shielded against EMP, electricity and Radiation! A powerful radar procured from Cybermatrix Incorporated is installed in the forehead along with an IFF transponder so someone doesn't accidently shoot you down! Built in communications include a Radio splice and cellphone splice to help keep you in touch with flight control. Also included in the base package are the optical systems anti-dazzle and Kiroshi Optic's Interferometry System, so you can see what is coming at you. An optional package includes the Techtronica Echolocation System. Flight can be actived with Chooh2 if the cyborg uses a special octane enhancer sold by Raven Microcybernetics (50 eb plus the cost of Chooh2 [d6 +1]x7), this combination gives a total flight time of 2 hours. If Avgas (200 eb) is used flight can be sustained for 3 hours, and if the tanks are filled only with Raven Microcybernetics octane enhancer flight can be maintained for 4 hours with a 20% increase in speed but there is a chance of burning out the jet engines (20%) and the cost of the high (1000 eb). Armor, SDC, and Body of the Icarus cannot be improved becuase of the need to keep weight down but Reflexes are already raised to 12 with the cyborg body. Pilot AV +3 is required for flight otherwise a crash is highly likely.
