A friend of mine is running a Lawful Evil anti-paladin type and would like to have a Chocobo for a special mount........Does anybody know if anyone out there in the mists of the web ever got around to writing up the Chocobo in 3.0 DnD?
I figured if there was anywhere on the net I could find out about a crossover of games it would be here. :)

Never really thought of it, but it should be simple enough to find a quick and easy replacement. Deinonychus, listed under dinosaur in the MM, would fit the bill fairly well, I'd think. Just switch a few things around, such as beak for bite and drop the foreclaws, then add feathers. . .should be close enough. The size is about right, perhaps a bit long, but losing the tail and adding tail feathers instead could fix that. Really wouldn't need much tweaking at all.

hmm that is a thought, now just to add in the chocobo ability to heal itself and well yeah a little more tweaking but it gives me a start.. hey thanx.
Any other suggestions are more then welcome!

There was the Axe beak in the Advance D&D Monster Manuel 2 that pops to mind immediately...um I think there was something like it in Fiend Folio for 3ish D&D, just throw a couple of levels of cleric on it.

These are the only stats I was able to obtain. They are found something called Returner Final Fantasy Roleplaying Game second Editon Sourcebook. I tried to enlarge this but it became hard to read. I hope this helps a little anyways.
