These alchemical poisons interfere with a mage's ability to cast and control spells. Difficult to manufacture and their limited target scope means that these poisons are not common. However because of the usefulness they have against their specific targets they never seem to disappear completely either.

Caster Rot
Type: Injury (DC 14) or Ingested (DC 16)
Form: Liquid
Primary damage: -d4 Caster Level
Secondary damage: -d4 Caster Level
Creation DC: 20
Market Price: 1000 gp
If the spellcaster's caster level drops below what is required to cast a spell then they cannot cast that spell.

Spell Ease
Type: Injury (DC 16)
Form: Paste
Primary damage: -d2 Spell DC
Secondary damage: -d2 Spell DC
Creation DC: 25
Market Price: 1500gp
Spell Ease saps a caster's spell's potency making them easier to evade and resist.

Brain Buzz
Type: Inhaled (DC 16) or Ingested (DC 18)
Form: Gas or liquid
Primary damage: All spells require a concentration check to cast DC 15 + spell level
Secondary damage: - 4 Concentration Checks, -d3 DEX
Creation DC: 20
Market Price: 500gp
Brain Buzz initially causes a buzzing in the victim's head, hence the name, and then slight dizziness and difficulty concentrating. The only known remedies are drunkeness (which has its own problems) and sleep. Fairly easy to make the reason it's not more prevalent is the lack of knowledge about it.

Diseases

Caster's Bane
Infection: Contact
DC: 14
Incubation: 1d3 days
Damage: Mutes victim
Caster's Bane makes the victim's throat sore and leaves them with little to no voice. While this is inconvinent to anyone it is especially bad for spell casters as most spells require vocal components.
