Enter Mythius

The inn is quite empty apart from the stench of the night before, a night full of too much ale and way too many barbarians drinking. The Inn Keep hurredly is sweeping all the detritus our of the doorway, briefly nodding to you as you enter the building.

"Sit down Mythius, someone will be for ye soon" says the Inn Keep, a man who must have been told that you would be coming today, someone surely on the Shadow Thieves' payroll.

Mythius sat quietly at the side booth...where he usually sat....he liked the Badgers Bite... it was the one place in Balder's Gate he didn't mind spending time in....mostly because it was not frequented by many people that would recognize him...

Right away he started pondering again all in info he had gathered over the last few nights from his sources.

This Tome ...if it was as valuable as they said...the Magic users that he usually did business with , would pay a tidy sum to have it....yes...a tidy sum indeed!....more then enough to gain him sea passage away from Balder's Gate...to more fruitful pastures...this City had grown dull and stale in these past years....it was time to make a change

Mythius knew it was only a matter of time before the Shadow Master tried to get in touch....he was more the aware of his reputation in Balder's Gate..he didn't trust that son of a bitch for a minute of course....he knew he would be in it for his own means.

A boy from the in approached his table waiting for his order... Mythius ordered a mug of bitters....the boy stood a moment as if waiting for something more...Mythius threw him 2 silver pieces and shewed him away with a flick of his hand....he was trying to think....he was in no mood

The inn keep comes back and sits down at the table staring at Mythius.
"So I have been told to let you go on a mission to Baldur's Gate but you already know of such a mission where your three friends have been sent. There is also something else you must do - you need to get there quickly as the person they are chasing has made an alliance with a group of Red Wizards and is planning to set sail soon. Here is a scroll which will help you in the harbour if you need to go to sea, just present it to a Captain Roberts there - he works for us. Now all that aside, there is a fresh horse outside, its time for you to go."

Mythius takes a long draw on his mug of bitters and stands up.

" I wonder if anyone told them about there being Red Wizards involved before they took the mission?...I have a feeling they didn't....might not have taken the job if so....well not like they had much choice anyway I guess..” :glare:

Mythius knew most of the Rogues and thieves in the various guilds around here…he wondered who that had gotten to take on this mission….and more importantly what their ulterior motives might be….or what stake they might have in all of this?....well he’d find out soon enough..

He grabbed the scroll and stuffed it in his belt…and took a last draw on his bitters…and turned to go.

“I’ll be in touch”

Mythius leaves the inn and heads to the back and untethered the Horse and mounts…he checks his Katana and makes cretin he has fast access to it from the scabbard on his back and nudges the horse into a fast gallop down the road.
