Cone of Sanguination

Level: Sor/Wiz 5
Components: V, S, M
Casting Time: 1 round
Range: short 25' +5'/2 per level
Area: 5'/2 base per level (cone)
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Fort (negates)
Spell Resistance: Yes (negates)

The caster blasts an area with a red cone of energy causing all within it to have their blood start to thicken and clot. The targets caaught in the are become sluggish (-2 to all movement and combat rolls) as well as their base movement rate halved for 1 level per hour (max 15 hours).

The cone only effects the living and those who have blood.

Material Component:- A Bloodstone.

Sounds good. Might want to have the duration vary by level though. 1hour/level sounds good.

I like that idea. I may make a cone attack where people have a stroke or something.. I was just trying to stay away from death effects for a bit.. but bl**dy good idea

Can you cast a lesser version of this spell to thicken the blood in an area and stop blood loss from massive wounds, without harming the individual? You could also then make the greater form of this spell do as diabolic paladin has suggested

now there's a suggestion.. let me have a think.. if anyone wants to go ahead and do a lesser and/or greater version please feel free. I'll try to get round to it tomorrow if no one has
