Anyone here purchased Guns, Guns, Guns?

I did and it is a big help. It covers more than what you think. The system allows you to create realistic firearms, particle beams, rail guns, lasers, swords, siege engines, and bows.

Yeah, melee weapons, bows, and crossbows.

It's a lot of math, but definitely worth it to me. Anyone else use this?

I've checked out the lite version of ESRB, which i believe is by the same folks. Seemed a bit more crunchy than i usually dig. That's just me though. Never been a fan of crunchy games. Hero makes me pee myself. Anyway, on that note... Looks like it's time for me to be hittin' the old dusty trail...

Realistic or balanced? I know the US military has a working prototype railcannon and anti missile laser, however I don't think it's something I'll be seeing on any street for a while (I hope...). I also know plasma ejectors and the like are around but the energy needs, technology, and what not kind of prohibit it from being man-portable.

Guns, Guns, Guns is a great resource, if you do not mind the math. More Guns is a supplement that has guns that could have been (Roman blackpowder weapons, Nazi lasers) and potential future weapons, quite enjoyable.

Sorry, I am going to go a little off topic :)

The ABL (Anti-Ballistic Laser) is completely operational and we have big planes in the sky already that utilize chemical lasers to disrupt the flight integrity of ballistic missiles that could threaten us. So, the anti-missile laser is alive and well now.

It is a chemical laser and is capable of nailing targets within the atmosphere. I guess the atmosphere does something to it. I followed this for some time a year or so ago.

I'm not disagreeing with the laser end of it. But realistic in any role-playing game is a suspect work at best.

Here it is:

Anti-Ballistic Laser
Damage: Melts Face
Range: Line of Sight.. Ok. Line of Radar?
Side Effects: Loss of massive amounts of money for a technology that will be replaced in several years.

Why don't they just use really fast drones with AA shells? Or better yet, doves trained to kill missiles, a bunch of birds just fly at it like lemmings.. I mean c'mon that sounds just like America. Take something that represents peace and make war with it.

Did you know we had seeker missiles in world war 2? The military trained pigeons to pick on a picture of a ship and tied strings to the head of the bird that would change the direction of the bomb's fins, until BOOM! The USA also had a plan for fire bombing japan with hibernating bats that would fly of with a small flask of naplam tied to their leg. The bats would fly off find someplace to roost (hopefully a wooden building of some type) and then catch fire. It would on the testing grounds and almost burn up the camp they were testing at when some of the bats got free. We never used it though becuase the atom bomb was finished right as the bat bombs were.

Don't forget the Trained Spy Dolphin Corps. They'd strap a magnetic mine to their head, and the dolphin would swim under the boat, stick the mine on it, and swim off to a distance before th mine detonated.

Good times. Make animals fight our wars.

I hadn't heard about the dolphin mines but it doesn't surprise me.
