Sivaranti's Ruby Ring

In the last century a great powerful elf warlord Sivaranti plundered the entire coast with his harlf orc warband. Sivaranti was known for his fearless nature as well as his incredible appetite for slaughter. Finally all his battles took the interest of a battle god who gifted him a small ruby ring, when wearing this Sivarnti became much more then a meagre warlord but a force of vengeful slaughter and battle madness.

powers +2 to Initiative. This bonus also helps all friendly troops in 30' radius of the wearer.
DR 15/magic and holy
Total Acid Immunity
+2 to attack and damage rolls
Shield (CL9 as per spell) 4/day
Bulls Strength (CL9 as per spell - only on self) 3/day
-4 to AC due to lack of caution as the wearer thinks they are indestructable
This is an artefact and cannot be replicated.

I was thinking of making the ring intelligent, what do you think?

making it intelligent would be cool. Name it some sort of laten demonic name.
give it a cool power like major creation. Don't forget about the ego that would be a very importent issue with a ring like that.

One question how did he come across the ring? I mean what is the story of how the god gave him the ring?

I guess I could write a bigger story about him crushing the skull of an opponent and the god coming down placing the ring on his finger type thing..

will have to think about that.

Instead of just making it intelligent, you can say that Sivaranti...is imprisoned in the ring and trying to escape by taking over the wearers mind and body...

This is a pretty cool item. I like how its roleplaying character can actually tap into the stats as well (the Ac penalty due to arrogance). Nice touch.

Eh, I would agree if it had some sort of spell on it that was an evil spell. Everything on this item are neutral spells. If it had something like Protection from Good, or Harm or something that is specifically evil-aligned I could see that. Or perhaps putting a spell to specifically align this item as evil with no other changes than that. But as it is now it doesn't seem like an item only usable by evil.

anyone fancy doing intelligence, ego and powers for the ring itself..

Its main aim is to make the wearer kill anything and delight in random acts of bloodshed
