Barrok's Razor Discs

Barrok realised that magic alone could not guard parts of his tower so he created these. Set down a hallway there is a statuette which several horizontal slots. every step along the corridor the adventurer must make a Spot check (DC25 if looking for pressure plates). On activation a small disc is fired out from the statuette towards the character, the main problem is the disc immediately grows into a 5' wide disc which revolves inceridbly quickly all in the corridor are attacked by the disc (+15 Attack) as it homes in on peoples necks.

Treat as +5 Vorpal Disc - damage 3d10

There are 100 disc before the statuette needs resetting. The disc vanish after 3 rounds.

When at the statuette to disable it it has a DC35

d30? I've never seen a d30 before...I would've thought a 5ft. disc would deal damage like that of a great sword (2d6) or double that because of rotation (4d6).

That's interesting. I've never seen or heard of a d30 before, I'll have to go to an antique shop and check one out :P

I like d100's. So much more mystery and chance to the roll. You could receive a possible 100/100 and be the king of the world, or you could get a 1/100 and be the biggest loser ever. ;)

I'm suprised they never made a d5. All they would have to do is put numbers on a small plastic pyramid.

i don't use them often but i do have 2d30's, and 1d3 (that one was a REAL rare find from what I gather)

*smiles*

and d% is SOOOOOO much easier then d100, in d100 it's either like a golfball and you can't reallt tell which number is up, or it's so big you feel like you are bowling

yup d% much better
