[This is the prologue of Tarian Sunsoar]
A few days ago, you entered a small town called Hightree. You heard a rumor of a mighty legendary warrior called Calatar the Fast, who had challenge every young man of hightree, who also wielded a blade. The fights had not been evenly matched, and when the legendary warrior left the small town behind, he carried with him his trophies of battle, the blades of the fallen. A local bard had tried to describe the warrior's blade to you, its beautiful silvery blade, markings of the dragon, on the crossguard and on the hilt. When he told you of the crackling lightning that ran up and down the edge, you knew the blade must indeed be magical, and a great treasure to be won. Of course, it would take a great warrior to defeat Calatar, but why shouldn't you be that warrior?
Following the main road towards Crown, have left you standing on the edge of a small market place bustling with life. The stalls are full of strange and familiar items, and locals and travellers walk between them, marveling at the wonders. If this is what Crown has to offer, then you must certainly have chosen the right path, but you also get the feeling that the great city of adventure has much more to offer.

Tarian slowly makes his way through the market looking at each stall closely on a sunny bright day. Saying hello and good day as locals and travellers walk past. Tarian walks up to stall that catches his eye.
"Hello can you tell me anything about a guy this tall *holds hand above his head* and has this sword with markings of a dragon, on the crossguard and hilt. His name might ring a bell Calatar. Oh also is there a place I can stay and drink".
Tarian looks at what he/she is selling looking a bit bored, Tired and hungry. Then looks around to see if anything is out of place.

The stall in front of you has several good bows on display, as well as a broad selection of arrows. There are arrows in different colors, with different types of feathers and arrow heads, and you also see a small display of bow strings. The owner is a middle-aged elf, with streaks of white running through his hair. He listens to you, as if interested, all the while testing a very nice bow made from elm.
"Calatar? That name does indeed sound familiar, though I can't quite place it." He thinks hard for a while, then shakes his head, "I have seen plenty of blades bearing the mark of the dragon, but none recently. I would suggest that you seek out the heralds at Crownmeet, if this Calatar is in Crown, they would certainly know, especially if he is as famous as you say."
The elf eyes your weapons, then says, "I could help you with a bow, if you have need, but if you merely need a glass of fine wine and a hearty meal, then seek out the Singing Maiden over there." The elf bowyer points across the market, but its hard to see the exact building that he tries to single out.
The sound of a hearty meal does sound promising, however, as your eyes start to wander, hoping to catch something truly amazing, it is your ears that catch something instead...the sound of swords clashing. The sound seems to come from further inside the market, but from here, you cannot see the combatants.

Tarian looks towards the crowd as people rush past him "Hey watch were your going!" with little anger in his voice. Tarian turns back to the elf "Crownmeet did you say and yes i've heard that he is a mighty legendary warrior but he hasn't meet me yet, I might go see the hearlds soon" With a smirk on his face.
Tarian trys to see the building Singing Maiden again but with the crowd building up he could only just see the top of it "Singing Maiden did you say i like the sound of that". Tarian turned but before he moved "Oh one more thing there was a rumour about demons in a inn i need a place to rest after a long day and the sun is going down do you know were that is?" Tarian waited for the answer and started to get interested watching the crowd shout out something but could not directly hear.

Being as distracted as he was, the elven bowyer had almost given up on Tarian, however, when he finally answered him, he looks up; "If you ever do need a good strong bow, please come see me, I'll make you a fine one, perhaps the finest you've ever seen."
"Indeed, the Heralds of Crownmeet can tell you just about everything you ever need to hear in your lifetime, if you can believe that!" The elf smiles, then shakes his head as if he just made a really funny joke, then continues, "The Singing Maiden is over there, but an inn with demons? That sounds like an inn on the other side of the walls, you know, its not just a rumor...demons do walk the streets of Crown, we just call them saruulans!"

Tarian makes a note in his head to go see the Heralds of Crownmeet about Calatar. Not paying any heed if the elf was making a joke or not, Tarian headed off towards the Singing Maiden for a drink and meal and maybe a bed. As he does he keeped looking towards the crowded area as more cheers went up *I wonder what is going on over there* being a fighter he could not resist and walked towards the crowd.

You twist and turn through the small market, passing the stalls of bakers, leatherworkers, brewers, armorers, tailors and many many more. You also note that you are not the only one being attracted to the sounds of clashing swords and loud spectators. Finally, you round a large blacksmith's stall and see what all the fuss is about. In front of you, through a sea of excited spectators, is three men fighting. Yes three, it would appear that two scrawny dagger-wielders have challenge a large brute of a man, wielding a powerful greatclub, but quite contrary to what one would think...the brute is winning!
You now hear the name that they have been calling..."Bear! Bear! Bear!" and you dont think they are cheering the two small men on, also, the big brute does look a little like a big lumbering bear.

Tarian asked someone besides him "who is this big man who seems to be named bear" Tarian moved slitely as one of the dagger weilders landed near him but got back up.
Tarian turned back to the fight with one hand on his greatsword *he seems to be handleing himself* and was itching for a fight and called out to bear "It seems you winning the fight my friend, well it does seem you can beat these two weaklings easly" Tarian smiled.

With those words, Bear leaves himself weak, taking a dangerous cut across the chest. He makes a deep noise that seem very much like the sound a bear would make in the very same condition. His eyes turn red and within seconds, the great man lunges forward, trying to knock the dagger wielders on their backs, but unsuccessfully. The battle seem to have turned, and the two dagger wielders smile to each other, "So, Kalack, your time is up!"
They start to flank him, making the big bear swing his head back and forth between his enemies, "Argh, you just come get...what you deserve!"
The crowd is cheering them on even more than before, even a few city watchmen can be seen amongst the spectators.

Kalack, the name the dagger wielders gave the bear of a man, lunges forward, striking one of the unwary daggermen in the head. Its a bone crunching blow, that leaves the man weak on the ground, moaning.

Through the crowd, you spot a large man, young and wielding a greatsword, he is standing inside the circle, where the fighting is going on. Young as he is, he seems a little out of his element, though he carries the greatsword like a true warrior. Then someone in front of you draws twin daggers, as if he intends to wield them, but hidden to those inside the circle, in front of him. Tarian smiled his young charming smile "Thats ok thanks anyway, so his name is Gaervel i might just go and see him in the Old Temple Ward later on or tomorrow". Tarian Drank more of his drink.

"Ah! The old temple ward! That is where I am heading as well!" I exclaim, just realizing that is where the robed figure told me to go.
"There is a man there, Eskellan Dorus, that I must deliver a message to. Belka, have you heard that name before? Or you Bear?"
I finish off my cup and flip it over, putting payment for all of our drinks under it as I do.
Turning to Tarian and say:
"I propose that we go to this ward in unison, as we are both heading there, and it has been shown already that we cover each others back fairly well. How do you say?"
Reaching over and taking Belka's hand in my own I say nothing, simply start kissing the back of her hand and each of her fingers.

Bear shakes his big head, saying, "No, never heard that name before, but then again, I hear a lot of names and only remember a few! I'm going inside as well, to the Rowdy Goblin for some black ale and a talk with an old friend of mine. Come to think of it, my friend may have heard that name of yours...unlike me, he is good with names!"
Bear nods to Belka, as if saying thanks for the drink, then turns around and heads for the main road leading up to the gate. He looks behind him, then rumbles, "You two coming?!"
Belka seems oblivious to most of the things going on here, absorbed in your lovely kisses, just as you planned it. The only things that escapes her lips, is an "Oh my, Odell!" Your name seem almost musical when the halfling says it.

"Well it seems we are to part again my dear" I say to Belka "I will return, when my task is complete. In the meantime, have something to remember me by"
I enter the stand, take hold of the halfling and give her the most passionate kiss she's ever experienced. then pinch her bottom and follow bear towards the main road.
"Hey Tarian! Come on!" I call over my shoulder, giving Belka one last wink before continuing on after Bear.

The kiss seem to have the effect you were going for, and while you follow Bear towards Crown, you spot Belka eyeing you as long as she possible can.
When you finally reach Bear, he looks over at you, then laughs heartily, saying, "a halfling?" For some reason, the big man finds your fascination with a halfling amusing.
The gate looms ahead of you, and if you had the eyes of an eagle, you could spot a small group of three men walking through it in this very moment, full of anticipation of what the future might bring them.

"Well I usually prefer the Half-Elf types, but something about that one caught my fancy. Plus she makes a mean brew as you have sampled yourself, Bear."
Looking around I say to Bear "Should we wait for Tarian? He seems to be dawdling and falling behind."

"I'm sure the young warrior will catch up, he did seem to have good strong legs on him, and he knows where we are going." The two of you soon stand in front of the mighty gate and can see the living city inside. A few guards, among them a female elf, stand to the right talking in soft voices, but lots of people just pass through, as if accepted by the city. Bear does not halt his stride but continue to enter the city. You remember the figurine.

You pass beneath the gate, Odell, coming real close to the guards. While talking to each other, they still find the time to look at every man or woman that passes into the city. You especially feel the eyes of the elf upon you.

Walking through the gate I simply mimic Bear's actions, Glancing around, acting like I belong in the city.
As I attempt to pass through the gate I say to Bear
"I say we make Tarian pay for drinks once we get to the Goblin, "He who falls behind, Pays for the wine!" my Father always said."
Laughing I turn my head looking for Tarian:
"Hear that Tarian? I hope you brought your fancy coinpurse, I have a feeling Bear and I might drink you penniless!"

"Thats not a bad idea!" Bear is still a few steps ahead of you. "He better have a real heavy pouch, because I am real thirsty! Hah!"
The elf eyes you suspeciously, and you get the feeling that you might have done something entirely wrong. You didn't really notice it, but your eyes have been flickering, going from Bear to the elf, and so forth. You also feel the sweat in your palms.
"You there, please stop." The elf is trying to intercept you, Odell, but she doesn't seem aggressive, nor has her hand strayed to her weapon yet. You may still solve this situation. The other guards stand in the back, but eyes the three of you from time to time.
Bear looks around to see what is happening, but obviously the woman is not interested in him.
Tarian:
You hear Odell call out for you, but its difficult to hear exactly what he is saying. When you are almost at the gate, you see an elven Watchman hailing your newfound friend.

"Hurry up Tarian! You're wasting valuable drinking time! How are we supposed to find you a woman if you dawdle so much?" I give a hearty laugh. Noticing the elf I turn to the her.

The elf is now standing in front of you, a very beautiful elven warrior indeed, with long golden hair and sparkling jewelery to decorate her neck and fingers. "Indeed, I was. Is this your first visit to our fair city?"

"It is! I have been quite impressed so far with the stands along the wall. I even met a wonderfully nice halfling named Belka. How long have you been a guard here?"

The elf smiles, though you can easily see that its half-hearted, not at all what it could be, what you would expect it to be. "Thats good to hear. Are you visiting friends or family, or perhaps here to make a name for yourself? Crown does attract a lot of people for whom fame is...attractive, desireable." She nimbly dodges your question, having an agenda of her own.

I put my hand over my face and roll my eyes at Tarian.
"Yes Tarian, I did say something about women and ale. You'll be paying for the second, and at this pace, having no luck with the first." I laugh and give Tarian a playful jab in the arm.
Turning to the Elf I say
"I'm sorry miss, while speaking the truth, my tactless friend here meant to say "Hello, my name is Tarian, and what might a beauty like you be called?". But you can see he is a little less subtle than myself."
"Now then, to answer your question, I came to Crown to find entertainment. I abhor boredom in all its forms, so I travel the lands to seek satisfaction and become a well rounded person. I had heard that Crown was an amazing city and wanted to see it for myself. You might call me a "tourist", though I think thats a derogatory term to most. I have no desire to be known by the masses, only to live a life of enjoyable pastimes and productive activity."
"Are you a native of the City? Perhaps you can show us around when your shift is over? I'm sure my friend here would like that, and I wouldn't mind some conversation myself. Just a word of caution though, I am not a man of means, so while I would love to treat you to a meal and a chat, it would be modest."

The elf's smile finally seem genuine. "You have quite the tongue on you, and friends to match. I hope you find what you seek in our fair city, even if you are just a... tourist." She taste the word in her mouth, but doesn't quite find it to her liking.
Bear has stopped a few feet away, looking back at the conversation, but hasn't found it necessary to join in and "aid" you against this Watchman, perhaps because he really doesn't know what is actually going on. He merely shakes his head at some of your statements and flattering words, muttering something to himself.
"Welcome to Crown," she looks around, nodding to you as well, Tarian. "For a hearty meal and perhaps a pint of ale, I'd seek out the King's Boot north of here, I am sure you'll find it to your liking. Its certainly a place favored by...bards."
She has moved slightly to the left, revealing a clear path into the city.

That is of course if Tarian here has any coin left after we stop at Bear's watering hole hahaha! Well, I must say it has been a pleasure to meet you, and if you ever find yourself in need of anything, I would be more than happy to lend a hand to the best of my ability."
