Physical Description:
6’4” 260lbs, blue eyes, black hair that extends just below the shoulder. There is a scare over the left side of the face that goes over his eye, vision is not impaired. There is also a 8 point star branded on the back of right shoulder.

History:
Volak’s home settlement has always experienced attacks and raids from those who hate them simply for being half breeds. Once as a child while most of the village went out to hunt and trade with nearby settlements, one group of raiders attacked the village burning down most of the structures and attacking those still there. One raider branded him with an 8 point star (the purpose of the 8 point star is that there are fanatics that believe that half breeds represent the 8th deadly sin). His settlement has always experienced attacks from those that saw half-breeds as nothing more than a sin, but there was one really bad attack one day when he was 20. He was out hunting with the rest of the hunters when the settlement was attack, when they returned they found that nearly everyone there had been killed and the settlement and crops have all been burned down. For the last 3 years Volak has been traveling and working as a sword for hire, tracking down any piece of information he can get either through paying or beating the information out of people he believes to have information on those responsible the destruction of his home and the murder of those that lived there. The lastest of these rumor that he heard from a drunkard at a small inn lead him to the city of Crown.

I used an online generator for this char. The site I used was http://pathguy.com/cg35.htm let me know if you want me to use a different char.

Hey! I did not list Tome of Battle among the books you could use!! :)

Why not, you say? Well, its one of my least favorite books, and while I have the book, I have never bothered to read the rules well enough to use them.

However, I'll allow it (since I have the book)...lets see how this system works.

Also, have you added your Constitution score (not modifier, the whole score) as a bonus to your Hit points?

Also, read my notes on character creation, you'll be pleasantly surprised...

You have...

1) Too many items

2) Too much "gold" in your pouch

3) Needs a magical item!

My bad didnt notice that. I fixed the gold amount. When you said 10 items max price 100 gp, do you mean 100 gold combined or no 1 item may cost more than 100 gp. If you want I can make a new char using one of the books you mentioned. I have all of them, so it will be easy for me to recreate. I will let you know what book I get my magic item from

Dragonfire,

I say we keep Volak as he is, I've read up on the Warblade, and I actually like the flavor. Also, being 1st level, the rules are not that difficult to handle.

As for items. the maximum cost of each of the ten items is 100 gp, if you need anything besides that in the game, you'll just have to buy it in game. :)

I have also taken the freedom of editing your character a little, but I've made the corrections easy to find, and if you disagree with me, just say so.

I like the flavor and background story of Volak, but perhaps you could give us a few lines that answer the question... "why did you decide to enter Crown..."

Ok no problem. Never heard of the language you put down. I didnt see anything that said the crystals only work with masterwork but if thats the case I will make it a +1 breastplate. I will take another look at the manuevers and fix that mistake. Do the 10 item just armor and weapons or does it also include the basic mundane stuff I would carry in my backpack? And as for why he entered Crown that will be easy followed the rumors. I will add it to the story.

Cool.

Read about Augment Crystals page 221 (Special Magic Item Rules), also, just make the breastplate masterwork, not +1.

I've added a bit about languages, and Drakh is pretty much the language that all the crude goblinoid races speak (and orcs).

I'll add some rumors about the city very soon, as promised in the original post.

Ok no problem. and does the 10 item limit include the mundane items in my backpack or is it just weapon and armor?

Those are all the item you'll have (equipment, arms, armor...), except the magical item, that one is beyond the 10...

A good advice would be to pack for a city adventure, I mean, assume that you have eaten the rations already, perhaps sold your shovel and tent...

Should I add +4 to the dmg of my greatsword like you told hesketh to do?

brekkers

Actually, you deal an additional +6 damage with your greatsword, because of the 1 1/2 times damage for wielding it in two hands.

I found a nice website that allows you to create photos of characters. I did one up to show about what Volak looks like. I posted it in my photo album, I dont know how to put it in a post.

Hey dragonfire, I've grown to admire your work around the tower in the short time you've been here and I was hoping if you could assist me.

After my current tabletop adventure ends I'm having to disgard my current characters (as they are terribly evil) for a good character. I'd come across the Warblade and they are my favourite character class by far, and as you seem to have a greater knowledge of rules and all the nitty gritty bits I was wondering if you'd help me make the best Warblade 12 I can :)

This is actually my first time playing a Warblade. But what I can tell you is first you need to get a copy of the book of nine swords and read up on the class. You are going to want to pick you maneuvers and stances before you make you weapon selection. Each of the different disciplines has a focus weapon. I picked Stone Dragon and White Raven, weapon focus Greatsword and Tiger Claw, weapon focus Kukuri. So you want to make sure you arm yourselve properly, as far as I tell you dont have to use the weapons that are focused for the particular discipline, they just make sense once you read the discription, like most of the tiger claw call for 2 weapons and the kukuri is one of the few weapons that is actually designed for true dual wielding, even more so than regular daggers. Once you get ready to actually roll up your char use this website http://pathguy.com/cg35.htm it follows all the 3.5 rules and you can also select from a non core races as well so if you play around with the different races you can make a pretty nasty PC.

I think the most unusual PC I have ever created was a Half-Giant Half-Dragon Wearbear Psi-warrior / Soul knife
