Portable World
The little brown leather satchel looks so small and fetching, only when opening it does the true power become known. Inside the satchel is an extra dimensional space full of people who man the shelves and vaults within. Any amount of goods can be stored in the satchel and can be retireved at any time. If a person wishes to crawl inside they too are transported to the dimensional storehouse.

This artefact was created by Barrok and he made sure that he manned it with loyal staff. The satchel is indestructable unless its by deitific intervention.

Did you ever read Knights of the Dinner Table?
This sounds a lot like Bagworld.
Just make sure you don't store an army in there, and a bunch of stone, and then throw in a disgruntled follower....

Oh man, that was classic!!! It started to whole "Bag Wars"!!! It was priceless!! They put EVERYTHING in that bag, and completely forgot about it, even henchmen! Then, the people in there built a town, and decided to revolt, thus started...

Sounds like something that one of the guys in a old group I was in had. The player and the DM had been gaming together for years so he had a rather high lvl char and he possesed a bag of holding that had virtually unlimited space with in. But instead of a large number of men inside to keep everything orginaized he had a dragon that kept things in order especially his library, he was a caster so over the years he collected and extremly large number of books.

it came from an old Sinclair Spectrum game where you started off in a bag which had two rooms. Coming out of the bag you started your adventure and you could always move the bag around to put a limitless amount of items in it. It was such a weird idea that it really should have been developed a lot more.
