Earthen Musk:
This extraordinary substance allows a user to mask their scent and thus making it more difficult for a creature using the Scent ability to track them. An individual covered with Earthen Musk increases the DC by 3 when being tracked by the Scent ability. One dose can cover a medium sized creature and lasts requires 8 hours to wear off normally, or it can be wiped off with an alcohol solution (even wine).
The Scent ability is not completely blocked however by the oily substance. If the user of Earthen Musk comes within 5 feet of a creature using Scent, the creature pinpoints their location with no difficulty. All other factors apply as per Scent ability. Due to the masking odor, the user also looses their sense of smell and taste until the oily substance is removed from their skin.
It takes one standard action to apply one dose of Earthen Musk to a medium sized creature.
