Any help to refine this race for the HwA system would be much appreciated :)
---------------------------
The Morti are undead blood-drinkers. They are unaffected by sunlight or normal metal weapons. The only ways to kill a Morti are with a wooden weapon through the “heart”, incineration or starvation from blood. A powerful magical weapon or powerful Priest magic may also kill a Morti. Each of these methods is instant and irreversible.
A Morti must drink blood at least once every 12 hours to keep his strength up. Longer than 12 hours results in penalties to his physique and dexterity until he drinks. 72 hours without blood will kill a Morti. They receive a bonus to physique and strength when satiated.
Morti do not have hit points as a normal character, but can only be harmed by a direct critical attack. If an arm is severed in this way, no force bar a god’s intervention may regenerate that limb. Otherwise the Morti is unharmed from the attack.
Since they are undead creatures, they have no bodily functions and do not require food or sleep, nor can they breed. The only way to create a Morti is through a rare ritual.
A beginning Morti character starts at level 2, and may choose a starting profession to match the profession of his former life. He receives all benefits and penalties associated with that profession.
Morti appear as humans in all ways except that they have fangs and lifeless eyes.
