On my turn after Dariat.

I seem to be quick off the mark!!!!

Get up, cast sanctuary on myself and look round to see which of my companions looks most likely to rush into the fray (with the intention of conferring a protective ward on him...).

Dariat

Seeing out of my one good eye I get a glimpse of what looks to be dwarves but I am not sure. They scurry like the mangy little things they are after the merchants, killing them with ease. I Yell out a call to my one eyed god Gruumsh and close on the closest one attacking it with fury. spear thrust (1d20+4=24) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1502805/) confirm crit (1d20+4=22) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1502807/) dealing an awesome blow damage (1d8+5=11) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1502808/) x3=33

CountFalchiezVander

Gummsh:

Your spear lands solidly between the ribs of one of the things, and you are able to get a better look at them, noting the red eyes and the balding head. It whines in a strange dialect before dieing, clutching onto your spear.

DM Note: it will take you a round to pull the spear free.

Lottie will cast resistance on a cleric nearest to her.

I grab up my longspear laying at the ready next to Vivex and I thrust it at the nearest vial, dwarf, but with the long, awkward spear, my thrust misses wildly.

OOC:
Attack:1d20+3=9 (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1503558/)

CountFalchiezVander
22nd February 2008, 04:27 PM
The remaining dwarf like creatures attack each of you in a one on one style confrontation.

Pinvadd- the creature swings wildly, hissing through clenched teeth as the axe meets air.

Lottie - The axe finds the weakest point in your armor/clothing, and digs deep. (confirmed Critical!!!) Unfortunately, the axe missed everything vital to your well being, leaving you a bit of a gash, nothing more.. (4 points...ugh.....)

Ak'iss - the blade misses as the creature charges towards you snarling

Dariat - The creature lifts it axe to strike a deathly blow towards you, but cannot, and its eyes glow in feral anger.

Gummsh - The creature coming to avenge the fallen does a terrible job, its axe coming down into the ground about a foot away from you.

OOC: After Dariat

5' step to line up with my closest ally, (Hopefully Lottie) if possible

Defend with my Tortoise shield, attack with my Battle Axe

Ax (1d20 3=12) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1504014/)

In case thats a hit

damage (1d6 1=6) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1504015/)

OOC: Remember everyone +1 due to bless

CountFalchiezVander
22nd February 2008, 05:23 PM
Pinvadd:

You notice that your weapon seems to just barely miss the creature and that if you were slightly more focused with your weapon, you would have hit,

DM Note: My bad, forgot this... AC 13 of creatures.

OOC:Well, that's not completely terrible. Still have 14 HP.

Will cast Resistance on Pinvadd (he's the closest, I think?)

CountFalchiezVander
23rd February 2008, 03:28 PM
Gummsh:

You pull the spear free with some effort, and prepare to attack again.

Lottie:

Pinvadd is closest yes. Do you wish to cast defensively or take the attack of opportunity?

Taking a couple of steps back to give myself more room to attack, I thrust with my longspear again.

I'll go along with the AoO. Lottie draws a dagger from her belt and thrusts it towards the creature.

(Attack 1d20+2= 21; Damage 1d3=3)

CountFalchiezVander
25th February 2008, 02:45 AM
Lottie:

You draw the dagger and plunge it into the leg of the creature. It howls and whirls around glaring at you, preparing to strike. The creatures then continue the offensive

Lottie - the axe swings forth from the bleeding dwarf-ish creature, striking a little harder this time, catching you across the right thigh (6 damage)

Pinvadd - The blade of the creature almost seems to match its wielder's war cry as it slams into the side of you, the flat end connecting with a rib. (2 damage)

Dariat - The creature spins and swings in a furious gesture, but gets no closer as something prevents it from touching you

Ak'iss - the creature sneers and whips his axe around, catching your forearm, scraping a small gash along it (2 damage)

Gummsh - The creature swinging at you roars in battle lust, and swings with all his might, burying his axe into your armored shoulder, then yanking it out with a satisfied smile (5 damage)

Roaring in pain from the wound in my shoulder, I hit the axe away and spear thrust (1d20+3=22) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1506776/) into the pathetic creature causing dam (1d8+5=11) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1506781/) . Yes, sorry, her opponent..

CountFalchiezVander
25th February 2008, 02:29 PM
Pinvadd:

Your weapon finds the wound Lottie has inflicted and digs in, causing the creatures eyes to roll over white. It screams and falls to the ground.

Gummsh:

Your spear thrust through to the creature, and you flick the lifeless body from it, its blood spraying over your robes.

Ak'iss:

Your blade finds it mark again, and the creature stumbles back on its knees, shouting something to you in a very strange language.

The two remaining growl, the one that has tried simply turns and heads towards the gnome, while the other comes within attack range of Dariat and with a burst of raw will power, overcomes the spell, driving his axe into the clerics lower calf for an attempt to keep her from running. (8 damage).

Watching as I approach the diminuative figure I see that he does not notice me. With a loud roar I spear thrust (1d20+4=24) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1507829/) crit not confirmed confirm (1d20+4=8) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1507834/) thrusting the spear clear through the throat of the thing for damage (1d8+5=12) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1507833/). CountFalchiezVander
26th February 2008, 05:39 AM
DM Note: not sure if Dariat did anything, he can post now for it. in the meantime...

Pinvadd:

You manage to strike the attacker from the side, causing him some serious hurt.

Gummsh:

You hear the wind rustle through your ears as the spear impales the creature, sending a scream of rage, loss and blood from its mouth. You yank back your spear, and see entrails left clinging upon it.

shawnrc
26th February 2008, 01:57 PM
Watching as the entrails fall to the ground I get a huge grin on my face. With the blood lust running through my veins I look around for other creatures to spear.

CountFalchiezVander
26th February 2008, 06:17 PM
Gummsh:

You note there is only one left that seems to be threatening the party, currently attacking the elven cleric.

ooc: how about the others that were killing the merchants?

CountFalchiezVander
27th February 2008, 04:04 PM
Gummsh:

You notice that the merchants seem to be holding their own, usually killing 2-3 for everyone they kill. They do seem to be retreating towards the inn.

shawnrc
27th February 2008, 07:22 PM
I look for the correct path if they are holdiong their own and I know we are.... are there injured merchants on the ground that I may be able to help?

CountFalchiezVander
28th February 2008, 07:03 AM
Gummsh:

You see several merchants bleeding heavily, and a few clutching what seem like broken limbs. The battle has turned, and the patrons of the bar are now pouring out and driving back these little demonic creatures.

shawnrc
28th February 2008, 07:17 PM
Seeing that we have this all under control, I head over to the first wounded merchant and give him/her some aid.

eric
28th February 2008, 08:10 PM
OOC: Perhaps I am mistaken I thought I intercepted the creature who was attacking Lottie.

If I am without a opponent, or the opponent is in front of Dariat and being speared by Gummsh
I will turn to the Merchants and do which works better at the time. Attack the creatures from the flank or CLW on someone that is unconscious and bleeding out. Pinvadd

:ooc: Ditto. I do have a tendancy to get lost easily, but maybe I'm wrong? :ooc:

If there is no creature near me, and if I'm not bleeding all over still, I'll go and help out the other injured.

CountFalchiezVander
29th February 2008, 05:18 AM
DM Note:

Pinvadd did intercept the one attacking Lottie, who Lottie hit first with an AoO, then Pinvadd finished him off.
There was another hiding in the shadows, using the battle to position himself to get through to the elf.

OOC: OK That makes sense, you said serious hurt, so I assumed the creature was still up.

Pinvadd will turn and see Lottie has healed herself and head into the merchant
fray either healing or flanking, depending on the axis he heads into.

There is only one left on Dariat now, and it is going to try and withdraw as it sees the rest of its kin dying and running into the night.
