You see before you three orcs, wielding falchions and wearing studded leather armor. they grunt in surprise as the elven ranger bolts through the door, and the arrow trap, to battle them.

Lucian gets a surprise round, then the order is as follows:

Lucian: 24
Challrain: 19
Orcs: 15
Loktar: 14
Xen: 4

Lucian gets a surprise round, then the order is as follows:

Challrain: 19[/b]
Challrain will cast his 'Flare' Spell in the eyes of an orc standing that was not
hit by the 2 swings of Lucian.

Lucian:

You barge in and go into a sort of trance like state, your mind filled with only hatred and vengeance. You blade strikes into the orc before it can react, severing an arm. It howls in pain as you continue, you blades striking true as you level the head off the first orc, and manage to cut a large gash across the stomach of another.

The orcs howl in rage and the one in front of you swings, his blade using your momentum to hit you solidly around the kidneys (8 points of damage)

The spell Challrain prepared goes off, hitting the orc farthest away, and dazzles him soundly. He screams and swings wildly, missing everything around him.

Loktar charges behind Lucian, heading for the now-blinding orc with his axe prepared.

Seeing the others rush in wildly I decide that I should ease my way inside. Watching Lucian slash with abandon at the orcs I see the second orc he hits make a nasty strike into his back. The strike looks like it could be mortal so I move up behind Lucian and cast a cure light wound. heal (1d8+1=9) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1497587/) I send Sax into attack the orc, trained in combat he gets on the opposite side so that we all can flank. He tries and bites bite (1d20+6=15) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1497588/) dam (1d4=3) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1497590/) make a fort save.

OOC: I know that Lucian already rolled his attack.

Challrain will run in and depending on distance, attempt to flank the orc with Loktar, if not he will be aside him and then thrust with his spear.

Spear Thrust (1d20+2=5) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1497595/)

Well even for not adding for the Orc blinded its a miss.
Hopefully I flanked him for Loktar.

Xen:

The orc does indeed seem affected by the bite of your companion, and growls in anger, but appears to be bleeding heavily from the stomach. Both orcs are now flanked.

DM Note: indeed it is, cold weather is numbing brain..

The orc clutches its stomach and swings towards the elven ranger, who expertly dodges out of the way.
The blinded orc clears away his eyes and swings towards the barbarian, not sure why there is another orc, or why he is attacking him. His blade just falls short, splintering the wooden floor.

Thinking that he did good by healing Lucian and commanding Sax to do his thing, I take a moment to stab the orc with my spear. thrust (1d20+2=20) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1498194/) poking him in the thigh for dam (1d6+1=2) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1498203/).

Sax tries and takes another bite out of the orc again but misses as the orc turns with the stab of my spear. bite (1d20+6=9) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1498208/)

At the same time, Loktar brings his axe back from the miss, the axehead almost whistling with the force behind the blow.

Lucian recovered from the arrow that nicked when he came in the door and the blow from the orc, thanks to Xen's spell, attacks the orc that attacked him.

Attack:
1d20 2=8, 1d20 2=13 (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1498306/)

Damage:
1d4 3=7 (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1498311/)
(The Kukri is the only one with a chance of hitting)

OOC: Not that it matters but the effect of the 'flare' is '...creature is dazzled for 1 minute.'

When its my turn again I will step to make sure the orc is still flanked if needed and stab:

thrust (1d20 2=21) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1498716/)
spear damage (1d6 1=3) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1498717/)

Thats a hit even without any bonus for flank :)

The thrust lands and the spear goes through the left upper thigh of the Orc,
Challrain steps back and pulls back before the Orc turns and yanks the almost stuck
spear out of his hands, seeing it fall over from Loktars attack.

DM Note: Indeed, the creature is dazzled, which states in the back of the PHB -1 to spot, search and attack rolls.

Loktar:

You axe almost seems to growl in rage as it splits the orc directly in two, its insides covering the floor, and your axe.

Lucian:

Your small blade finds it way up into the open wound of the orc, piercing his heart. Its eyes widen a moment, then it collapses, dead.
