I don't know if i'm just not looking hard enough but i cant find a description for lay on hands anywhere. I mean it heals for however many points but what does it actually look like, can it be used discreetly with a slight of hand check or is it a bright blue glow that alerts people watching. With most Cure spells it is the same, the description says that you channel positive energy into the target but i am unsure of the specific visual effects. If anyone knows it would be very helpful.

From the SRD:
Lay on Hands (Su)
Beginning at 2nd level, a paladin with a Charisma score of 12 or higher can heal wounds (her own or those of others) by touch. Each day she can heal a total number of hit points of damage equal to her paladin level × her Charisma bonus. A paladin may choose to divide her healing among multiple recipients, and she doesn’t have to use it all at once. Using lay on hands is a standard action.
As it is a standard action I do not think you could hide it with a Slight of Hands check, same with Cure spells but you can have them work as you wish in your campaign.

Indeed, you can simply state that the lay on hands ability looks just like someone gently touching the individual, or their wound, and meditating/praying.

I would imagine that a Paladin could be subtle enough to play it off like he was just praying for the individual or something of that nature.
Of course, if anyone watching knows what Paladins are capable of doing, they'd likely be suspicious.
