I want to know whether we should turn the d20 only policy on it5s head and let other people run games which are not d20 based.

I think: absolutely! There's a lot of other games out there that are great that I would like to see some people play. *coff*DarkHeresy*coff*

Really, if it could make my dinner, I'd become domestic partners with it.

I'm sure I'm not the only old timer here. Wouldn't mind a 2nd edition game.

What are the arguments against this idea? Not that I am against this, that is. Eric

Just because there are 9 people in favor, does not mean there is a problem with it That's all

good point, I'd like to see what the cons to this are. :)

I'm sure there's a way to split the main page into two forums (-ae?). I don't know what the specific reasoning behind the d20 focus was, but I'm sure that we can keep the d20 and the others seperated.

Just my two pesos.

I definatly think we should allow other games other than D20 here, would add to the mix of games and people that would be playing

I think that is a great idea. I would like to see some WoD games on the site along with CoC perhaps. Maybe some old school games and editions as well.

To be told, there is no con to promote all dice form gaming, I mean, if someone doesn't want to play 1st edition starwars and all the D6 goodness, they don't have to. The key is the ability to draw in those who find d10, d6, or what have you a more interesting thoroughfare. The only important note I would have is that when one of those games opens, ensure there is an expert in the game to aid with the GM's and player's questions, same principle as with the sandbox section.

I don't really see the cons to it, though thats' far from meaning there aren't any

On a related topic, has anyone played something called "Anima - beyond fantasy"? Heard of it recently, sounded cool

Heard of it, looks interesting, but no idea how to get started.

well when anyone wishes to do a non d20 game - put a few feelers out and then contact members of the admin team if it seems like you have a viable amount of players

Man, really the only games I'm running these days are Ramlar and Savage Worlds.

I have one d20 based game but it's Bulldogs! and not regular fantasy stuff.
