After the initial attack, Xen gets a shot at the thing, seeing that it is a medium sized scorpion hanging on the ceiling.

After Xen's attack, the initiative will be thusly:

Scorpion - 16
Xen - 17
Loktar - 23
Lucian - 6
Challrain - 10

It's AC is 14

DM Note: to save any pointless rolling, I will include AC from now on so you will know if you hit it. The only exception to this is central villains in the storyline.

Apparently when moving back I miss judged the distance to the scorpion and my spear thrust comes up short. attack scorpion (1d20+2=5) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1472863/)

Loktar steps into the room and swings upwards at the scorpion with his axe. The blade bites deep, and Loktar grins savagely with the knowledge of a possibly mortal blow.

Loktar:

As you pass Xen and burst through the already battered door, you see the scorpion above you. You smash it well, and it begins to bleed profusely from its abdomen, but it continues to move, if not very fast.

Challrain hurls a mighty roar, then fires a sling at the scorpion, missing it, having the stone bounce of the dome with a bit of a cracking noise. The scorpion cries out in response to this little mishap.

Watching the battle rage on, I have to cringe as it cries in agony as the bullet hits the dome. Hmmmm something strange about that..... I try again to spear it in the abdomen spear scorpion (1d20+2=17) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1473184/) scoring a brutal hit damage (1d6+1=7) (http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1473185/) opening a bigger hole in the things underside.

Xen:

Your spear hits home in the already gaping would, going through bowel and bone to hit the heart dead on. The creature squeals loudly then dies, its ichor flowing over the floor.

Thus the party is again victorious...
