Arcane Rangers for Arcane Archers...

<span style="color:#3333ff">Maybe there is maybe I just neer heard of it..but have you ever wondered why,instead of having to be like a 15th lvl caster, or taking 3 classes to meet the pre-req"s for an arcane archer...why there isnt just a Ranger subclass that casts arcane instead of divine.hell keep the spell progression and everything the same,just have to make a spell list. That would not seem so bad an idea would it?</span>

I believe the reason for no arcane rangers is mainly thematic reasons. The ranger is nature based, a martial druid if you will, so it makes sense that he would only have access to divine spells. However, there is an argument for altering the entire spell selection of the urban ranger, which I believe is in Cityscape. Since he is not in communion with Nature, and has access to libraries of magic, he could be an arcane spell caster fairly easy.
