I thought now that everyone will be starting to adventure, I would take a moment to explain how I award Xp.
First, the standard battle Xp. It is the CR Xp divided by the number participants in battle. Same as always. Second, there are Completion awards. For each quest, and any sub quests you complete, and bring back proof of (that is key) there is a monetary and experience award determined by me.
Thirdly, this is one of the more home grown ones we felt very good to character development. for every relevant skill check, you are awarded XP. But I will make this clear, I determine what ones are relevant or not, as I have had players try to do stuff just for the bonus XP, and that don't fly with me. If I ask you for a skill check, that makes it relevant. If the check is something you would do in every scenario, then it has cause for relevance. You can always ask me if it counts or not, but I doubt I will tell you, as if may give off hints. I will record each one, and it must succeed in order to count.
I may use counters as well, which are denoted for exceptional character playing abilities, but I am still fine tuning this. If I use it, I will let you all know. And all XP will be posted here in this thread to avoid confusion. Any questions? Just so you know, I gave no Xp for the intro, since without it, you wouldn't be here adventuring.

As an aside to the skill check Xp, I will award them once a week, every sunday evening. Just remind me if it isn't up by monday morning.

I don't have access to players handbook and inf to download it was great but I still use dialup and have a very slow machine and it would take forever. Could someone tell me what I need to level up as Paladin? Thanks.

Just a quick note that I am not keeping track of the Xp bonuses and running totals, so please let me know when you level up. For the purposes of detailing my world and getting central characters for it, when you level, assume you introspect on previous learning and gain new insight, saves training time mand money. You are all self directed learners!

As an aside, with the passing of Gary Gygax, I feel his essence will enter the world of gaming, speaking to all of us in his own way, watching over us. So all players will receive 1000 Xp, and those who level please make the appropriate changes to their characters, and let me know. This is in memory of a great man, so make him proud, and proud of the game we love as dearly as he did!

As it is Easter, and I am a bit of a spiritual person, and this is a loosely religious world, everyone deserves to benefit from my devotion (mainly to objective studying of religions academically, but still...) Thus all characters can have 300 Xp.
