New 3.5 adventure possible

I was thinking about running a game after the new year. The adventure will be an underwater adventure in a homebrew world. I have not made anything up as of yet so asking me about the world will yield no answers.



I will say that all races from books (no dragon magazine) will be available, even monstrous ones. All classes/prestige classes except psionics will be available. I am looking to start it at 5th lvl. There will be room for 6 people, let me know if you are wanting to play and have time to post regularly starting after the new year.

A few questions, not about the world, but some rules inquiries:

1. Can we use races and classes from the Dragon Magazine Compendium, since it is a printed book from Wizards?

2. Are we allowed prestige classes from Dragon magazines, or just books (doesn't matter, the one I am looking at is printed in the above mentioned book)?

3. Stats, how you want them done up?

4. Are we allowed a race with either Hit Dice or a level adjustment, or templates?

5. What classes are you hoping to see?

I guess the reason why I said nothing from dragon is cause I do not own anything, if you would be able to produce the info I needed for either race or class or prestige I will allow it.

I am hoping to have a rounded group but I guess it doesn't matter to me, people can play what they want. If we have a group of 6 cleric then that is what we have...

SETTING
Underwater Adventures. Yes there will be some times that you will be out of water so choose your race/class carefully.
STARTING LEVEL
Characters start at 5th level.
SOURCES
This game will use any Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 books available, if I do not have something that you have for your character I will have you show me (via email).
RACES
I will say that all races from books (no dragon magazine) will be available, even monstrous ones. All classes/prestige classes except psionics will be available.
ABILITIES
Generate abilities with the Point Buy system on page 169 of the DMG, using 28 points. The cost for each ability is reprinted here for convenience.

FEATS
Any feat is available, if for some reason I can not find it I will have you show me. I will be allowing the characters to have flaws/traits. This makes for some interesting things sometimes.
HIT POINTS
Characters gain maximum hit points at each level for ease of calculation… and to prevent a catastrophe when I underestimate a creature’s CR or in case the dice roller gets cranky.
GOLD and EQUIPMENT
Starting gold will be 5,000. You can spend the money any way you want too. If you are buying magic please indicate which resource you got it from.
Be sure to list all of your equipment, including weights. If it’s not on your sheet, you won’t have it.
GODS
Characters may choose from the gods in any resource, if they wish their character to worship a deity.
ALIGNMENT
Only Good alignment is acceptable.
BACKGROUND
Backgrounds should be done; if you are not a water breathing character by nature then you must have some story as to why you are under the water.
PERSONALITY
What I want from each player is a brief description of their character’s personality. This should be no more than one or two short paragraphs and include simple things such as likes, dislikes, fears, dreams, etc as well as habits or tendencies, mental quirks, specific outlooks or strong feelings regarding any particular subject. Use as much or as little detail as you wish, so long as I have an idea of how your character is likely to act. By the way, this should be more than a list of reasons your character kills things.

Lastly please send me your characters sheets via pm before we get going. After I give a description of the world you can make your backgrounds. As I said I am looking for only 6 people no exceptions. If someone does back out at some point I will send out a pm.
One other thing, as far as posting is concerned, I would like a commitment to 1 post a day. If for some reason you will be away for a time then tell someone and they can play you if you want.

Interested but I look to be last in line, only have 3.5 and the dmg here, any character or class you

I have had no character sheets as of yet. As far as types of characters, be imaginative, it does not matter to me.

I have had 2 character sheets thus far. I am going to make a quick change on the allowed alignment. I am going to say any GOOD alignment is what I would like.
