View Full Version : Looking to Game a little more..

Hey all, I am currently in a position to play in several games now online, due to 4 hours worth of free time every morning. So I am wondering if anyone has any openings in their games, be it an ongoing or just starting (I am currently in the Servants of Kord campaign, and it still gives me plenty of free time). Or, if anyone is interested in having me run something a little unique for D&D. (My world, complete with new races, class and soon feats). Since I have a few exams coming up shortly, I would like to get into something, or get approval to start something ASAP, so that my players can have the time to follow my character creation rules and get a feel for the history of my realm. I am looking for about 3 or 4 players, just to flush out some of the lavish history I want to add to the world (basically, you guys will be the heroes of Legend in my world when I finally put it all together).

oops forgot - for starting a game you have to first talk to Skurvy who is the game admin amongst other things

I shall look into messaging him very shortly then! Good thing I have an adventure already set up on my compy should I get approval... Of the two FR games, I noticed there are 8 in one and six in the other, I guess I would like in on the group with six if possible.

Barrok, since I noticed the two FR adventures are in fairly deep from the look of the postings, I will politely decline, as I wish not to interfere, and wait on Skurvy response to my PM. Thank you though, I do appreciate it.

Well, I have it all set up on my computer, I am just waiting on Skurvy to set up the forum section. I have exams in a few weeks, but luckily I need to make only 5 on each of them in order to pass, thus I will have time.

Looks like Skurvy will be setting up the Forum for me, so I need 3 to 4 players. Scorch, shawnrc, and Regnier_Leinhart have all offered, if they are still game. So if that should be the case, then I have need for 1 more (though is not necessary, god bless NPC tag alongs...) So let me know, and I will place the character creation rules up in the character forum post haste.

perfect, when the forum goes up, you can I will place a creation post in characters, an intro in story and some guidelines in OOC. IT is simply called Althalous, as that is the name of my world.

Well I suppose what are race relations like? Does each race have it's own land, do they all live mixed in cities, are certain races allies, etc. What's the general level of magic/technology... um I think that's it for now, maybe a few more questions when I hear about those.

Game is starting just now really, so you still can get a character together if you want. And it is indeed by 3.5 rules. Also using unearthed Arcana for traits and flaws if you want.

The races get along tentatively at best, having struck several uneasy alliances on the continent of Raythene. Each race does indeed have its own home continent, but all are gathered on the central continent of Raythene since that is where the City of Faith is built. There are few mixed cities and towns, mainly any town that has a port or is a merchant town, but for the most part, they live separate of one another. As for racial allies, after looking over the histories of all the races, and building my world from those plus certain racial beliefs, there are no allies per se, but, they are certain lucrative trade agreements amongst elves and dwarves, kobolds and orcs, gnomes and halflings.
The level of magic is pretty standard, but magical items are a little harder to come by, since each race is rather reluctant to build arms and armors with magical properties for other races, or have it fall into another races hands. As for technology, it is similar to about 1300 AD, slightly more advanced stonework. Anything else.

I got room for one more, that will allow me to make two groups of 4 PC's, which I can handle easily enough on separate adventures within the campaign. If ColonialBob is still interested, you're in. If not let me know so I can find another.

Yep, I'm in, just wanting to know if orcs still suffer from light sensitivity (I was never so much a fan of that...... I may change to a half-orc instead.

Half breeds don't exist in Althalous, part of the racial treaties designed after the first major conflict. As for the light sensitivity, I would worry too much, since there will be much dungeon crawling, it won't matter too much ~wink wink~
Also, I now have a full group, so I won't be taking on any more players at this time. But feel free to read the posts, and if you like my style, please let me know and I will take you into consideration for the next adventure I run in the future.
