Hello, everyone. My name (at least online) is Rafeal Domieras Ixeian (or Rafe Ixeian). I've been wandering around the boards for a very long time, and have enjoyed reading it all, so I finally decide I should register and say hello.
I haven't actually played in a long time, but I do act as a G/DM every once in a while. Back when I was a player, it was generally a D&D3.5 campaign, and I DMed in the same, but can't say that I liked it too much. So looking to fix what I saw as huge flaws, I have developed a couple of systems, all of which revolve around increasing the players' freedom, while at the same time setting things up for a bit of extra creativity. Even so they seem (and have shown to be) for the most part balanced.
Truth is I'm signing up because I miss DMing, and am hoping to find people willing to do an online campaign. It'll (probably) have to be in either one of my own systems or someone else's system, since I no longer have my D&D books. Let me know if you're interested. I'd like to have at least 2 players, although I'm more used to doing 4 or 5. I am willing to do even a one player campaign, though, if that's all I can attract. As for style, it can be either a forum- or a chat-based system, and I'll accept suggestions for ways to send things like maps/floorplans and images around (for those places where pictures are nice).
Let me know if you're interested at all.
Apart from that, I'm a programmer, studying at University right now (but even during exams I usually have too much time on my hands). If programming doesn't work out, I'll probably become a writer, despite how big a leap it is from one to the other. Uhmm.... and I'm generally not this long-winded, so I'll stop now.
Actually, one more thing (to Barrok/Scurvy): Every time you post a competition, I get at least one or two ideas, but I never post them because I have no interest in the rewards (or giving out details like my address online). I would still like to put them somewhere where they're likely to be noticed so I can get some feedback.....any suggestions?
