For anyone that is interested, I will be starting up a new d20 Modern game, with hints of horror, sci-fi, fantasy, plus anything else I can think of to throw in. It is open to everyone, from the experienced player to the complete novice, and I am prepared to take some time to introduce new players to the game if anyone is worried that it is over their head. Honestly, it is so similar to 3.5e D&D that most people will be able to pick it up and play near instantly. There is no limit to places as I will take on as many people as are interested and split them into smaller groups as the opportunity presents itself.

The game takes place in the small American town of Elohim Falls, a settlement that has been around since colonial times. The community is well-knit and your character would probably know a good percentage of the population well enough to make conversation. All of the initial characters that enter the game will have been away from the town for a little while (months, years, its up to you) for various reasons, and the game will start as they come back into town.

Characters will start off at 2nd level to give them a little bit of breadth, and those interested can read the Character Creation Thread (http://barroks-tower.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=12570&pid=106800&st=0&#entry106800) over in the Elohim Falls forum and then drop me a PM.

Thanks,

Skurvy

Okay, I have three characters, which is enough to be getting along with for now. If anyone else is interested then it would round the game out a little bit, but I perfectly prepared to go with just three and the game will hopefully be starting at some point in the end of this week/start of next week. Hopefully I can getting running along nicely before the holidays when people have a tendency to disappear.

Anyway, the players so far:

Kyle Mercer (Strong 2), played by Regnier Leinhart, a bit of a drifter who has travelled the world
Karl Johanson (Tough 1/Smart 1), played by Barrok, an architect
Unnamed Priest (Smart 1/Dedicated 1), played by Mexal, a junior priest

Anyone interested can contact me through PM or post here.

Thanks,

Skurvy

^_^ Is this game still on?If so what times does it play, or is it a post game?I have a swing shift schedule so i may not be able to do this despite my high interests in it.

[please do not let my posts decieve you,I'm not such a ham all the time.I would take this seriously,if I can play]

Also I have none of the modern d20 stuff, but have played it twice [though it was a dif. character each time as I died the first session!an incident I hope never to repeat].

It is Play-by-Post, and newcomers to the game are welcome. I can always talk you through the character building (if anything it is easier than D&D). Game start has been pushed back slightly anyways, because of the amount of hours I am working at the moment, Christmas overtime being necessary to put food on the table and all that.

 Thanks for the offer.I placed everything I had already for a character concept in the EF forumn. It pretty much covers evrything I believe except for the actual character sheet.

As far as that goes, unless you want to talk me through it,I am entirely comfortable with you doing all the work :top: [laughing and rubbing my hands together with a grinch like grin!] and posting or emailing me the sheet.I don't know this particular game well, but I am familiar enough with it to comprehend most of it.What I don't get, I can always ask about.

Apologies to those players who had signed up for the game, but it is going on suspension whilst I get everything back together. The forums will be disappearing (don't worry, your information will be safe) until I deem I have enough time to commit properly to the game.
