The Xoran Spider is rumoured to have been bred by Lolth herselft in the abyss and let loose on the world to turn elves into driders. The are normally black and can be distringuished by the silver mark of lolth on their backs. They are hunting spiders and have no affinity in spinning webs.

I have no objection to the concept of a creature created by Lloth that transforms elves into drider. But I would think they would be very rare, very powerful and require some sort of combined effect (paralyze with poison, weave into cocoon, and, after x amount of time, former elf emerges as a drider insane with pain and confusion).

But certainly not a mass produced, 2 HD spiders with 2 round 'transform to drider' venom. If Lloth had these, how would the elves survive?

I guess its saying how much of a rarity they are , if elves spot a nest of Xoran they will alert all over Elves in the vacinity to try and kill the little blighters

the cocoon sounds a good way to go with the effects of this could you help out with this please .. i have stopped writing for a bit and need a rest
