Okay, so here are a few rules about applying to run a game on Barroks Tower. They are loosely based on the rules we used to have here for similar applications, constituting the bits of them that I can actually remember.
1. Currently all games must be d20 based or freeform, as decreed by Barrok. We would like to keep the place focused on d20 games, so anything from D&D 3.5e, d20 Modern, d20 Star Wars, etc. Hell you can even apply for a d20 Paranoia or Call of Cthulhu game if you like, just to hear Barrok sobbing in the background. Homebrew settings will be considered, as long as they are (wait for it!) d20 based.
2. All people applying to run a game MUST have a decent idea of what they are talking about, they must have a firm concept and hopefully a general clue as to where the story is going. We have had many games founder here because of a lack of a gameplan.
3. If you have a firm idea and would like it considered by the Admin, send it to me in a PM and I will put it to the other Admin. If I don't respond that is probably because I either missed it or forgot about it, so keep pushing the point please; it's not because I don't love you, it's because I have the memory retention of a two-year old.
4. As a general rule of thumb we like to give GM spots to those members who have stuck around for a while and proved their worth to the forum. If you get rejected on this basis, please keep trying and prove to us that you can be a part of the forum, and then reapply. Three months of membership is the figure we normally bandy about, but this can be waived at the Admins' discretion.
5. Spelling and grammar are key to being a good GM, so please ensure that you keep a good standard at all time on the forums. People have been refused games before on the basis that they cannot make good use of the English language.
Thanks for you time,
Skurvy
