Vivamort's Signet Ring (minor artifact)
Vampires of the past have quested after this ring, but no one knows its current location.
The origin of the ring is lost in antiquity, but is most likely the creation of Vivamort, Lord of Vampires. The ring's powers are said to have derived from many lesser vampires whom gained the ire of Lord Vivamort. There powers were siphoned and placed inside the magical ring, leaving piles of ashs behind. There are many variants of these rings scattered about the world, each one unique and specializing in enhancing vampiric powers. Anyone possessing this item must be careful not to let their possession become widely known, else he will be constantly besieged by fanatical vampires and their servants.
This ring is made of gold, set with a single, unique gem (worth 10,000 gp) dark red color. The ring shows no special powers to non-vampires except that it prevents being slain by a stake through the heart, until the ring is removed. Some powers lay dormant until the ring is worn by a vampire and these additional powers are continuous:
Doubles Fast Healing (Ex) (10 hp/round), Double Resistances (Ex): resistance to cold 20 and electricity 20, Double Damage Reduction (Su): reduction 20/silver and magic.
Strong conjuration; CL 20th; Craft Wondrous Item or Forge Ring; resist energy, regenerate, Soul Bind
