Oil of al-Bashshar:

This oily substance comes in small vials or jars. Such vials could potentially be mistaken for potions (consumption causes 1d10 points of damage). Oil of al-Bashshar is used to smear the surfaces of weapons, armor, and skin to coat them with a pasty, matte black finish, rendering them nearly invisible in darkness. As such, the DC for spotting a hidden but armed character should be increased by one or at the GM's discretion, and a character covered in this way gains a +1 bonus to Hide checks. After a typical melee, the Oil of al-Bashsha will be wiped from most of the blade from its heavy use. The weapon must be blackened again if desired. Armor will need its black coating touched up following a melee. A jar of Oil of al-Bashshar contains enough material to coat four sets of leather armor, or up to six humonoid sized individuals. The same size jar can coat a weapon 10-12 times.
