Spell Name: Elemental Magnetism

Transmutation

Level: Clr 2, Drd 2, Sor/Wiz 3

Components: V, S

Casting Time: 1 action

Range: Medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)

Target or Effects or Area: 1 creature per 2 caster levels within a 30’ radius

Duration: 1 round per caster level

Saving Throw: Fortitude (Negates)

Spell Resistance: Yes

By means of this spell the caster is able to cause the targets to become more susceptible to a particular type of element. The subjects are allowed a Fortitude save to negate this effect. If the save is made then no results will come from the casting of this spell. If the save is failed however the subject will take more damage from any elemental based spell or effect.

The caster must specify which type of elemental magnetism that he wants to affect the targets with. From that point (Provided the save is failed) the target will take 1.5 times the damage from that particular element during the spell duration. This damage increase applies to both magic and natural elemental sources. Additionally any elemental attack of that type that must be targeted gains a +4 to hit the affected individual.

I agree with Acolyte that this would benefit from being ramped up a few levels.

On the interaction with elemental subtypes and such... all magnifiers in D&D are based on the origenal value. For instance, a number times 2 times 2 is NOT 4 times the origenal, but three. So, in the case Acolyte mentioned, a number times 2 times 1.5, the outcome would be 2.5 times the origenal damage rather than 3 times.
