Ancestral Callers:

The Ancestral Callers are a group of barbarian mystics who channel the spirits of their ancestors in to themselves to perform deeds of great powers. They are often the war leaders of their tribes. They are widely known and feared for their battle prowess as well as their abilities of foresight.

The Callers as they are known hail from various barbarian tribes. They are bloodthirsty and vicious in battle, caring little for anything other than glory. They live for the fight, and to further themselves in to the legends of their people. They believe that they are blessed and thus are extremely reckless and dangerous warriors.

Barbarians are most commonly known to take this class, but any who have barbarian blood and a willingness to turn themselves over to the bloodthirsty spirits of their ancestors for the greater glory may take this class.

Ability to Rage 2/day
Knowledge: History (Ancestral) 5 ranks
Iron Will, Great Fortitude feats

Weapons and Armor: All simple and martial weapons, Medium and light armor, all shields except tower shields

HD: D12

Special Abilities:

Augury: This ability is the same as the Cleric spell. The caller asks his ancestral spirits a question about some action that he wishes to take and they grace him with an answer. This ability is usable once per day at the characters PrC level.

Agility of the Elders: Once per day for 3 minutes per PrC level, the character may call upon the agility of his ancestral spirits. He will gain an additional +4 to his dexterity score during this time.

Deathwatch: This ability functions in all ways as the Cleric spell. The ancestral spirits of the caller grace him with the knowledge of his adversary’s health and status. This ability is usable once per day at the characters PrC level.

Additional Rage: The character is able to use his rage ability 1 additional time per day. This stacks with any other rage increasing abilities or spells.

Strength of the Elders: Once per day for 3 minutes per PrC level, the character may call upon the strength of his ancestral spirits. He will gain an additional +4 to his strength score during this time.

Status: This ability functions in all ways as the Cleric spell. The ancestral spirits of the caller impart to him the knowledge of his companion’s health and status. This ability is usable once per day at the characters PrC level.

Endurance of the Elders: Once per day for 3 minutes per PrC level, the character may call upon the endurance of his ancestral spirits. He will gain an additional +4 to his constitution score during this time.

Elders Hand: The ancestral spirits of the caller guide his hand to better strike an opponent. This is the equivalent of a "True Strike" spell. It can be used once per day.

Speak with Dead: This ability functions in all ways as the Cleric spell. The caller’s ancestral spirits consult with the spirits of the dead to answer the questions of the caller. This ability is usable once per day at the characters PrC level.

Speed of the Spirits: The ancestral spirits bless the caller with the ability to move extremely fast. This ability is in all respects the same as a haste spell (3.5 version). This ability is usable once per day at the characters PrC level.

Divination: This ability functions in all ways as the Cleric spell. The ancestral spirits of the caller will look in to the future and past to answer questions posed to them by the caller. This ability is usable once per day at the characters PrC level.

Additional Rage: The character is able to use his rage ability 1 additional time per day. This stacks with any other rage increasing abilities or spells.

Elder Strike: The Ancestral spirits grant the caller the ability to call forth all of theirs, as well as his anger, hatred, and rage in one concentrated burst. This ability grants the character the same bonus as a "True Strike" spell. Additionally the character does additional damage equal to their PrC level + their wisdom bonus. (I.e. a 10th level caller with a 14 wisdom (+2 modifier) does an additional 12 points of damage with this strike). This ability can be used against anything (such as a sunder attack), but only once per day.

Some Feat or Skill based requirements would be nice, right now the requirement is "be an 8th level Barbarian".

I would add Knowledge (history), Knowledge (local), Knowledge (religion) (or roll them all into a Knowledge (ancestors) skill) and Perform to their list of class skills.

Perhaps you should give them a good Will save to represent the protection of their ancestors against hostile (mind) magic?

Otherwise, what A~ says. Answer those questions and we will go a long way toward improving this class.

I added the Knowldege: History (Ancestors) skill as well as the perform skill to the list. I also made the Ancestral history skill a prereq for the class and removed the feat requirements.

I made some changes to the Elder Strike ability. (The reason that I used the Wisdom modifier instead of the charisma modifier for the additonal damge is because I visualize the character opening himself up to the spirits to be used by them. Does this make sense?)

I also added a few more rage uses and a True Strike ability as well.

I upped the Will save, because what KOR said makes a lot of sense to me.
