This black leather armor will shrink or grow in size to fit a wearer from size halfling to ogre. The armor when worn by a rogue will appear to meld into the skin of the rogue, but is removable at will by the wearer. This armor will grant the wearer a +4 to hide checks.
This armor also grants the wearer a further +2 to their AC bonus over normal leather armor.
If this armor is combined with the boots and gloves of the thief then the bonuses granted by the items become +6 instead.

So, it is leather armor +2 that gives it wearer +4 (type?) bonus to hide checks? With a bonus to the bonus if they have the complete kit.
What is the reason for it melding with the skin of a rogue? What effect, if any, does that have?

The melding to the skin only helps in that you appear unarmored and could wear normal clothes over the top, therefore staying protected and disguised at the same time.

Now I'm slightly confused...
So what you are saying is that the 'armor' once on the person basically becomes one with the flesh and the rogue would look naked and his skin would just be tougher (i.e; a natural AC modifier)?
Or does it still look as if the rogue is wearing leather (skin tight) armor?
I'm not being a smart butt, just looking for clearification. :king:

The leather fuses with the skin, and so is not as bulky and can be covered by clothes. The armor is not readily apparent. It can be detected by Search check on a DC 21.
