Well, Santa's already been attended to, and I'd hate to move into territory already claimed by another, so...

The North Pole Organization

This is the group that makes the toys for the good people of the world. The organization itself is the home base for all the joy and cheer that is so apparent during Christmas.

Overview and Brief History

The organization was established eons ago by Santa Claus, his wife, and a few dozen devoted elves. Wearied from his years of adventuring, culminating into the finding of a gigantic treasure horde in the North Pole, Santa decided to begin an organization that would mitigate the conflicts of the world. Since then, a system has been established. Hundreds of elves buy raw materials to make toys with, preparing enough for the entire world.

Members: 800+ elves, plus envoys. The elves spend all of their time in the north pole making toys when they arent enjoying themselves. The envoys make yearly deals to aquire the raw materials required for the toys and make arrangements for Control Weather spells the night using Santa's vast treasure horde to ensure his trip goes smoothly.

Hierarchy: Organized. The toymaking elves get their instructions from elven engineers who determine the best and most appropriate toys and how many are needed. There is no real feeling of superiority/inferiority, as the engineers are the organized ones and their decisions come for the benefit of all. All members answer to Santa and Mrs. Claus. Santa mostly stays behind the scenes, concerned mostly with the nice/naughtly list utilizing a crystal ball network and scrying spells to determine what people want and what they deserve.

Secrecy: Depends. It is unsurprising for members of the group to know each other by name, but no one outside the group knows of the group's presence besides the controlled rumors of their existance. This is because many of Santa's essential Christmas artifacts, among them the Sleigh of Delivery are powered by belief. Each member takes an oath of secrecy to stay in the north pole. Even the envoys spend their time there when they are not working, and their contacts are not told the whole truth about where the materials are going.

Alignment: Any good.

Joining: The North Pole organization does not often recruit. The skilled toymakers often take centuries to master their craft. Thus, only elves are toymakers because of their being the only creatures with the requisite life spans to master the craft. Envoys can be of any race(and indeed, all races are required because of the different relations involved), and a recruitment drive is run for envoys approximately every 10 years. They target those with the greatest Christmas spirit who can keep a secret and understanding(or absent) families.

Member Benefits and Responsibilities: Besides the non-negotiable oath of secrecy, the toymakers are required to make toys six hours a day(not necessarily consecutive). This is increased to ten hours during the December month. All members are required to stay within the North Pole when they are not working. The benefit is being provided for, enjoying downtime in the magical domain of the pole, and the matchless satisfaction that comes with fulfilling the wishes of the children of the world.
