Compelling Lights

Enchantment (Mind-Affecting)

Level: Brd 3, Clr 2, Sor/Wiz 3

Components: V, S, M

Casting Time: 1 action

Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)

Target or Effects or Area: 5’ radius per caster level

Duration: 1 round per 2 caster levels

By means of this spell the caster is able to create small sparkling lights that dance and weave in the air. The lights also hum with a light hearted Christmas carols. They may dance and move as the caster desires, or may move about randomly.

Any creature in the area of effect, that fail their will save will become entranced. They will forgo any actions to concentrate and sing along with the music of the lights. Any damage made to the victim will automatically end the spell for that specific victim (Without the benefits gained below). At the completion of the duration the victims will feel elated, and will gain the benefits of a bless spell for 1/2 the duration that they were entranced.

Material Component: A bit of crystal dust

Just one minor question, do those affected receive a Will save every round, or just the round when the spell is cast? Also, do those effected have the chance to ignore the save and allow themselves to continue being entranced if they so wish? (Sorry, I'm not entirely clear on the mechanics of saving throws)

The will save is for the initial round. People can willing give up the save if they like.

As for reentering the spell effect (After damage has been taken), that would not be possible. Once the mood is ruined, you cannot get it back.
