Item Name: Roots of Sadom
Appearance: Hazel coloured, perfectly smooth, with no imperfection
Smell: Smells like sweet honey due
Effects: +2 on attack rolls, become chaotic evil and +100xp from any kills during the next 6 hours, after which the root's effects run out, leaving the character with a deep feeling of shame, suffering a penalty of -200xp if he is Neutral or -400xp if he is good. Prolonged use of this item may result in a permanent alignment change(and all the effects that come with such a change) to Chaotic Evil, every time a character eats a Root of Sadom, make a will check against DC 10 + the ammount of roots of Sadom the character has taken in his/her lifetime.
Background: "Surely you've heard of the Oglagorgs fair travveler?, why everyone up North has, I can tell you that, many up there fear the smell of honey, for that is the smell they carry on their breaths, but do not be fooled by such sweet scents, they are monsters plain and simple. They're cowards as well, they prey on the weak and murder them heartlessly, cackling like hags over what they call the worth of the muderur. They often raid and rarely take prisoners, and even if they do, they die upon reaching the camp but my daughter, a thief, was one of the few to escape from their clutches, she said she was fortunate that they took her home during the time of their prayer. They apparantly worship some sort of mountain cougar they keep locked up in a cage, next to a plant in a small mound of dirt filling one of the numerous pits in the cave. She said the plant looked a bit like a willow tree but much much smaller, barely the height of typical rose stem. The prayer was short, an offering of thanks for a succesful raid perhaps, after which they dug their hands in the dirt and pulled out a root, not just any root no, this root was perfectly curved like a hazel crescent moon and it had the most beautifull smell, like fresh honey she said. She kept observing them until they each ate their root, after which they just stood there...laughing...just laughing and describing their numerous kills in passionate detail, she ran home after she heard what one was planning to do to her.
Does that story scare you travveler?, then I suggest you turn around, back south"
