Spell Name: White Necromancy

School: Necromancy (Good)

Level: Sor/Wiz 3

Components: V, S, M

Casting Time: 1 action

Range: Centered on caster

Target or Effects or Area: Special (5’ per caster level)

Duration: Instantaneous

Saving Throw: Fortitude (Negates)

Spell Resistance: Yes (Harmless)

By means of this spell the caster is able to channel a portion of their life-force to others around them. The caster will actually take a set amount of damage (Determined by caster) up to ½ of their hit points may be used. For every 3 hit points that the caster sacrifices the spell will heal all within range (Friend and Foe alike) for 1 hit point. (I.e. if a 6th level caster sacrifices 9hp all creatures within 30 feet will be healed for 3 hit points.) Against undead this actually works in reverse. The spell will cause 3 points of damage for every hit point sacrificed if a Fortitude save is not made.

Material Component: A small silver knife engraved with arcane runes (100gp value). The caster must cause the predetermined damage to themselves as a focus (And payment) for the magic. The knife may be reused.

Interesting. Personally, I think that it might be a level 2 pell, mostly because it also heals your enemies. And if the knife is reusable, you can just call it an arcane focus. I like it, but I think that there might be similar spells out there.
